Council for EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS
The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) is the largest international professional organization aimed at improving the educational success and overall lives of individuals with disabilities. Among advocating for appropriate governmental policies, providing professional development for educators, obtaining resources necessary for effective professional practice, members of CEC are held accountable to a set of standards which ensures effective professional practices.

As part of my teaching internship, it was my responsibility as a student teacher to adhere the CEC professional standards throughout my practices and instruction both inside and outside the classroom. On the following pages are proof of various activities, instructional strategies, lessons, and interactions that I had throughout my first semester as a student teacher in a Learning Center that supports K-3 grade students.
